What is FYE?

The First-Year Experience Program's hallmark program is FYE 101, an engaging, evidence-based university course specifically designed to help new CMU students succeed academically and make the most out of their college experience.

Research shows that FYE students are more likely to be successful in other academic classes, continue their college education, have greater self-awareness and take advantage of academic resources and services; FYE students participate in and create engaged learning experiences. Essentially, students who enroll in and complete FYE 101 are more likely to be successful.
