CMU’s human resource management program prepares you for one of the most fundamental aspects of any business: hiring the right people for the right jobs. You’ll gain hands-on hiring experience with Michigan companies and learn how to retain and train those you’ve hired. You’ll learn what it means to be the connection between an organization and its employees and how to gain a competitive advantage through those you hire.​​

Points of Pride

Two of your six required courses in CMU’s human resource management program allow you to collaborate with Michigan companies for a semester long project in recruitment and selection or training and development. In the last five years, students have collaborated with companies such as Dow Corning, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Spectrum Health, Consumers Energy, Credit Acceptance of America and Thompson Reuters.
