The Military Science/Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program is obligation free and supports many academic programs. Your minor in military science provides an interdisciplinary education to help you prepare for military or civilian careers. The commissioning program will prepare you to become an Army officer, and you’ll receive a commission upon completion of academic requirements and the military science curriculum.

The new CMU ROTC outdoor leadership field training course is one of only a few such courses in the nation and is located within a mile of campus.
