CMU pre-dentistry students select a major of their choice and also follow the pre-dentistry program of study to prepare for acceptance to dental school. At CMU, you’ll receive personal attention and have opportunities to get involved and do research. You’ll also have an academic adviser dedicated to students interested in pre-professional programs of study.

Dentists can be general practitioners or pursue a specialty area such as orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery or radiology, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and oral pathology.
