75%+ classes will have a face-to-face component.

You see, we never stopped offering an on-campus, in-person learning environment. At CMU, your learning never stops, and neither do we.

More than 50% of your classes will be entirely face-to-face. Another 26% will mix HyFlex and Hybrid options. Add this up and your learning will be packed with hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeve work that'll prepare you for the real world.

In-person student events and activities.

Student organizations will resume in-person meetings and activities. There will be in-person activities and thought-provoking events.

Your university experience is about making connections and doing more of what you love. Compete in intramural or club sports, perform on stage or in our gardens, or put what you're learning to work in a student group. Once again, we will perform, create, design, compete, and discover innovative solutions, together. That's what a community that leads does.

Residence halls will continue to offer community- and GPA- building opportunities.

Same great experience, with a little more space. To keep our community safe, we’ll continue to reduce the number of occupants in our residence hall suites, unless you request otherwise.

Our residence halls are more than a place to live. They're where you'll make new friends over late-night conversations, learn to understand the diverse perspectives of your fellow students and feel more connected to our campus community. You'll get all the support you need from our Care Advocates, Inclusion Assistants and intentionally designed learning experiences. AND, you'll earn better grades! Students who live on campus are more likely to achieve better grades, be more involved in campus and community activities, are more likely to graduate in four years.

And when you need to refuel, our new dining services partner, Chartwells, is bringing exciting new options to campus like Slim Chickens, Freddy's Custard and Steak Burgers, and a build-your-own pizza station among other options.

Athletics open to students and the public.

Football schedule includes fans in the stands. First home game: Sept. 11

On gameday, the community comes together in maroon and gold to cheer for the CMU Chippewas. Club sports will be back in action and intramural sports, too. Whether you're a varsity athlete, recreational competitor or Fired-Up fan, you can look forward to getting back in the action.
