At CMU, we believe a college education should be accessible to all. It’s why we’ve had the smallest cumulative tuition increase for incoming undergraduate students of any public university in Michigan over the last 10 years.
Since 2018, CMU has offered one-tuition rate to all students based on their level of degree (bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral) regardless of whether they live in Michigan or any other state, or if they earn their degree on campus, online or at our satellite locations across North America. The one rate opens doors and remove financial hurdles for students pursuing a college degree on their terms.
We support students with more than $60 million in university-funded assistance annually and distribute more than $300 million in private and federal financial awards and grants.
About 85 percent of CMU students receive financial assistance each year based on achievement, need and work study opportunities.
Central Michigan University rewards academic achievement. Students who enter from high schools or community colleges with strong GPAs and ACT scores are likely to qualify for automatic financial awards.
Additionally, many high-achieving high school and community college students are eligible to join CMU’s
Honors Program, with extensive scholarships and programming that allow you to “aim higher and achieve more … meaningfully.”
Whatever your situation, we help students and families through the financial aid process. Full details about scholarships, loans, federal applications and so much more await you at the
